  1. You will first need to cut the power off to the dishwasher: this is fairly easy to do. All dishwasher come with circuit breakers. Just flip the power off.
  2. You will need to remove the front cover. Use a screwdriver for this, but removing the front cover plate is simple and easy.
  3. Here is where the process gets a little trickier. You will have to turn the adjustable legs that support the dishwasher’s front counterclockwise. This will raise the dishwasher (raise it to as far as possible). Then place a block behind the legs to support the dishwasher.
  4. You will then need to retract the legs. This can be done by tightening the adjustable legs. You will need a wrench or a pair of pliers.

  8. Replace the front cover and you are done.

  • Laminate flooring can also be notched so it can easily fit around legs of the dishwasher.
  • If there isn’t enough room beneath the dishwasher for the floor pieces to snap together, you could cut a piece and glue it to the floor. You will first need to apply a cut piece of underlayment to the subfloor.
  • Some dishwasher is designed in such a way that their legs are a recessed farther than others. This will help you as you needn’t raise the dishwasher.
